(When my daughter’s dog passed away, she asked for an obit that she could send to her friends when they asked about Brandi. It was too painful for her to talk about the passing of her good friend and companion.)
Brandi the Queen
Brandi Marie Boyd, self-appointed “Queen of the World”, passed away a couple of weeks ago. She left behind her ever faithful servant and most loved friend, Molly Boyd, her not so loyal or faithful or loving servant, Mary Stormont (Mother of Molly), and her two best friends with whom she deigned to share her Queendom, Daisy and Ruby. Peace and quiet has settled on the former royal residence, which pleases the not so loyal and loving servant, Mary (Mother of Molly), but does not necessarily please her two best friends, who are missing her high pitched commands uttered always at full volume. The two friends state that they even miss her “tail attacks” as they exited the pet doors or jumped on the not so loyal and loving servant’s bed.
Brandi Marie lived a long and rich 15 years of life, full of adventures and quality time with her most faithful and loving servant, Molly. While her eyesight remained very good, her hearing seemed to become very selective (as it seems to become with most older beings), in that while she seemed to be unable to hear her name or any human servant requests when called out no matter how loudly, she managed to the end to NEVER be late for a meal, a treat, or a car ride. She loved loudly roaring her opinion whenever she felt like it, biting small children and human servants on a whim, and daily adventures in the wilds of the not so loyal and loving servant’s domain.
I am sure she is smiling broadly today- she left her muzzle behind and will never have to wear it again, nor will she ever have to sit through another “time out” for unroyal behavior.
Brandi Marie Boydwill be greatly missed for a very long time. With any luck she will reign again in heaven when her most loyal, faithful and loving servant and friends meet up with her.
We will all miss youBrandi!
